chapter synopsis/scans: chapter seven [aug '03] Life is a wheel of changes. The chapter opens with Mihirogi speaking to the one remaining Blue Eyes member - she addresses him as Mister Duroy [Dyuroi]. As Aya and Yuki look on, another voice speaks of delivering God's will. In a flurry of rose petals, Chloe appears, cutting the Blue Eyes member down with his rose. That having been done, he seems ready to take on Aya and Yuki as well. Yelling at Yuki to take cover, Aya draws his katana - which Chloe swiftly parries with the stem of his rose. Aya is shocked by the speed at which Chloe moves; Chloe, for his part, makes a remark about Japanese samurai being old-fashioned. The fight continues, with Chloe dodging every swipe of Aya's katana. Meanwhile, Yuki can only look on. Mihirogi, quite apropos of nothing, comments on his wound, then remarks that they seem quite different from Blue Eyes. Angrily shouting that he is part of Orphan, Yuki whips out Akagawa's kau sin ke, aiming for Mihirogi - who intercepts it mid-air, winding the end around one ankle, and pulling Yuki to the ground. Yuki releases the kau sin ke and looks up at her, while she apologises, asking him if he can stand. Having found out that Aya and Yuki are not in fact part of Blue Eyes ( -_-;; ), Mihirogi calls for Chloe to stop, saying that the two "are not their mission". As she does, though, Chloe slices Aya's katana cleanly into half. The fight ends thus; Mihirogi walks back towards the car, Chloe joining her. Mihirogi apologises again and suggests that they forget what happened. Saying "This is for your sakes," Mihirogi kicks a metal box towards them. It explodes, and the mysterious pair disappear. Aya wonders to himself if they too are 'dark executioners'. Later, the bodies are being cleared, with Doctor D holding off distraught kids. Aya and Doctor D speak later, with Doctor D checking Aya's wound. Prompted by the conversation, Aya goes off to speak to Yuki. He eventually finds the boy on the steps outside, holding Akagawa's kau sin ke. Sitting down next to him, saying rather awkwardly that if he sits there he might catch a cold. After a pause, Yuki starts talking, eventually starting to cry. The conversation ends with Yuki saying that the person who found him and first called him 'Yuki' was Akagawa. Silently, Aya puts one arm around Yuki as the younger boy buries his head in Aya's coat. Somewhere outside the building, Mihirogi and Chloe discuss Aya and Yuki in their car. Back with Orphan, Doctor D has finished checking Yuki's wound, saying that it'll be okay. As he leaves, he exchanges a significant look with Aya. Aya asks Yuki what they'll do next; Yuki doesn't know, but says that he wishes to give them a proper burial. Yuki later asks if Aya is returning to Japan, which is Aya's cue to talk about Weiss. Back in the car, Mihirogi and Chloe spot approaching attackers. Mihirogi comments that things seem to be getting interesting. As Aya asks Yuki if Orphan will no longer remain there, someone interrupts by calling their names. Splash page for Chapter Seven - Mihirogi speaks.
